Kuala Lumpur: Days 14 to 16

I spent the past three days in the apartment in KL and didn’t do much sightseeing. However, I did meet some interesting people.

First, I met up with a local woman named Eileen. She’s a massage therapist. We decided to visit Ipoh and Cameron Highlands together. Her friend operates a tree house in Cameron Highlands so we decided to stay there for two nights. I booked a hotel in Ipoh for two nights so we can explore the town and not rush things.

I also met up with Jonathan, the German traveler whom I had met before in KL. He came back from his travels and will take a plane out of KL to his next destination. We had dinner at an Indian restaurant in Bukit Bintang.

Yesterday afternoon, I met Jin Lim. Miriam introduced me to him after she met him at a Meetup. Jin is a Bitcoin entrepreneur who made a trading bot on Binance. I learned more about Bitcoin from my conversation with him. He is very smart and easy to talk to. I hope to keep in touch with him in the future.

Today, I leave KL. Eileen will pick me up and drive to Ipoh. I had a relaxing time in KL and met so many people here. That’s one of the best things about traveling. I hope to meet Miriam again. She’s staying in the apartment for one more night then taking a flight to George Town. I still couldn’t believe that I stayed this long in KL. I didn’t expect that, but it’s all part of the journey.

I ate these almost everyday since my stay in the apartment. They are so good and addicting!

Last photo of Miriam as we chilled on the balcony.
