World Bicycle Tour - Gears

For some reason, I replied to one of the reddit posts about a touring setup for a Priority Apollo bicycle. Even though I had done a setup/gears post before when I cycled across the US in 2018, I thought since I have a new bike now and I will be going a longer distance maybe it's time to do another one for 2023. So here is a list of things I will be bringing on my 2022 Priority Apollo (size medium) for my around the world tour.

Everyday Clothing

Bike Clothing, Etc

Jackets and Shoes

Cookware

Electronics

Repair Kits and First Aid

Bike Maintenance, Lights, Bags, Etc

Sleeping Bag, Helmet, Water Bottles, Etc

Toiletry and Computer

Tent, Mattress, and Pillow

Business Cards, Post Cards, and Miscellaneous Items

Unloaded Bike with Extras

Loaded Bike

    1. Thank you, Joan! I think I brought some extra stuff that I actually haven't used.

  2. May I ask what kick stand you use and how it does? I know Priority doesn't recommend a kickstand but I would like to add one anyway someday! Thanks!

    1. I didn't know that Priority didn't recommend a kickstand. I use "BV Bike Kickstand - Alloy Adjustable Height Rear Side Bicycle Kick Stand, for 24" - 28" Mountain Bike/Road Bike/BMX/MTB (Black)" on my Apollo and it works well. You can find it on Amazon.

    2. Thanks! (BTW, I'm from up in Reading, PA, so I'm not too far from you!)

    3. You are very welcome! I live in King of Prussia. I'm traveling in Asia right now. I'm thinking of selling my Apollo when I get back. Know any takers? LOL!

    4. I would have bought it myself about 3 weeks ago! Might I ask why you are selling it and what you're asking for it? At least I know it has some new spokes on it! ;)

    5. I'm selling the Apollo because it's not really a touring bike. It's a gravel bike. I also don't do much recreational riding. I'm not sure about the price yet, maybe $1800, including an extra belt and four 50 ML oil and an oil changing kit.

    6. I still need to get a backup belt and oil change kit (I'm only 220miles in). Price could be a bit hard for you just now since Priority is selling for $1899 and currently offering 10% off! Maybe hold on till spring?

    7. I can sell the belt, the oils, and the oil changing kit separately. But I will not get back home until early next year. So I will not be to sell anything until spring anyway.

    8. If I was in the trip you are in right now, I wouldn't care about selling anything! Enjoy your travels!

    9. Thank you! Will do.
